Some Thoughts and Reflections
Sherrisa: Perhaps Ally thinks she's different in a bad way.
Steven: I think that Ally doesn't want to tell people her secret because she will be judged. When she finally told Mr. Daniels, I feel that she's beginning to trust him.
Breanne: I think that Ally is beginning to open up to Mr. Daniels. Mr. Daniels' little words and gestures have allowed her to open up.
Jenessa: I thought it was really depressing that Ally said she was going to bring in a bag of dirt or nothing to represent herself.
Zoe: Mr. Daniels is pushing Ally past her limit and once he pushes her past that challenge/obstacle, she will have new ones to face.
Miguel: I think that Shay is jealous of everyone because the other kids (Ally, Oliver, Albert) have skills that she doesn't.
The "WHO CARES" Campaign
"I believe that the things we put numbers on are not necessarily the things that count the most." - Mr. Daniels, FIAT.
In our class we talked about a variety of things our society puts numbers on, that necessarily don't count.
Some of the things we brainstormed were:
- Age
- Likes and Followers
- Wins and Losses (sports)
- Gifts
- Money
- Stuff (Possessions)
- Friends
- Where you live
- Cars
- Toys
- Experiences (Travel)
In the end, WHO CARES! Who cares about these things because in the end what matters is that you are happy with what you have!
And a message for Shay & Jessica... if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all!
