Multitasking is a Lie!

Today in health we talked a lot about multitasking and the effect it has on our brain. We completed a few multitasking activities, watched Ellen's perspective on multitasking and then completed a synectic activity.

Our Big Ideas from today's lesson:

- Multitasking does not exist but you can switch between tasks quickly

- It's sometimes rude to multitask (depends on the situation)

- Think about what you're doing, before you do it

- Give everyone 100% (as per Ellen)

- Sometimes switching tasks can be easy or hard (it depends on the task).

Why is this important?
It's important for us to learn that there are costs to doing more than one task at a time. We are taking part in one activity per week to help us to understand how we can become better learners so that our brains are engaged in deep and meaningful learning. It's also important to value the time you dedicate to someone as they're talking (see Ellen's video below)! :)
